The Transitions Film Festival was brought to Perth for the first time on 23-25 March 2018. Green Fabric was a festival partner. It was a great success!
The Transitions Film Festival showcases groundbreaking documentaries about the social and technological innovations, revolutionary ideas & trailblazing change makers that are leading the way to a better world.
The festival was brought to you by local partner The Rescope Project.
As a festival partner, Green Fabric was proud to present one of the movie: A Silent Transformation.
A Silent Transformation is a film that sets out to explore the innovative self-help efforts of diverse communities across the Province of Ontario, which by addressing their needs collectively are helping to regain the radical vision of co-operation. In these communities are the seeds of economic democracy, global solidarity and a new popular movement to transform society! Will it grow and flourish?
The movie screening was followed by a panel discussion facilitated by Tom Kooy with panelists Professor Paul Flatau, Director of the Centre for Social Impact at the UWA Business School, Kerrie Nayler, from P&N Bank on behalf of the Business Council for Co-Operatives (BCCM), and Andrea Biondo, Founder Galactic Co-operative, WA’s first workers co-operative.
Other movies screened at the festival were Albatross, a movie which transported us to an island few people get to see, and gave us a deeper understanding of the natural world and the tragic ways we impact it, and Free Lunch Society, the first international film in cinemas about basic income, one of the most crucial questions of our times.”
The Green Fabric professionals embraced the festival, and ‘our film. A big clap to to our sponsors!
